The case
Thirty-eight and a half millimetres, satinized.
Stainless steel with a satin finish throughout: 38.5 mm across, 11 mm thick, 20 mm between the lugs, and 65 grams without its strap or bracelet.
Sapphire on both faces. The front crystal is anti-reflective on both sides; the display back, screwed down, is treated on its inner face. The crown screws down, and Sinn rates the case to 20 bar, to the German DIN 8310 standard for water resistance, and resistant to low pressure as well.
The movement
Sellita SW200-1.
Automatic, with a stop-seconds function: pull the crown and the seconds hand halts, so the watch can be set to the second. Sinn lists 26 jewels and 28,800 vibrations an hour (4 Hz), and states anti-magnetic protection to DIN 8309.
Sellita's figures for the SW200-1: 4.60 mm thick, a typical power reserve of 41 hours, and a lift angle of 50°, the figure a timegrapher needs to read amplitude correctly. Sinn notes that its movement details reflect current production in Frankfurt am Main, so an older example may differ.
The dial
Gloss black, one red hand.
A glossy black dial with luminous white indices and a date window, drawn in the plain, legible manner of Sinn's cockpit instruments. The hour and minute hands are luminous too.
What makes it the RS is the seconds hand: red, the one colour on an otherwise black-and-white face.
